Good morning, so for my Easter class I want people to have a choice to either make a girlish or boyish card with this one, here are the options.

So to make these birthday rather than Easter cards I just popped out a small flower and added our tiny silver brad to the basket so it looks like she is carrying flowers instead of eggs.  For him, just punched a circle to make the ball and that hides the big Easter Egg... Again, these cards just put a smile on my face:)

Easter class with "Everybunny"

Good morning, well yesterday was a fun day with my girls shopping, although I hate shopping hanging out with them is always wonderful.

When I came home I made dinner and then went downstairs to my stamp room.  I have been eyeing up this set since the catalogue came out. Everybunny, page 48, Idea book and catalogue. Anyways, I sometimes think twice about buying a set that I can only use for one event so.... I am holding an Easter class using the adorable Everybunny!!!  But, as you can see in the picture I am showing how to use this not just for Easter but Birthday, Baby, and Easter.  This set is so so cute and I know you will love it too. Another great idea would be to make thank you cards for a baby shower, that way mom is one step ahead, ah, but that's a whole other class. lol.

So here are the details. 

Date: SATURDAY March 24th

5 cards, 5 clear envelopes.

COST: $25.00

coffee and cookies too.

Time: 1:00 to 4:00, bring your adhesives, (blender pen and aqua painter) if you have them, no worries if you don't.  

Everything will be cut for you, just move from station to station making your cards. Feel free to make them all Easter or like my examples, use birthday etc.....  We are using lots of watercolour paper, buttons and some yummy smelling cherry embossing powder.

As an extra bonus anyone  pre ordering this set will get it at my price 20% off so including tax and shipping the wood set is $35.00 clear $26.00  8 piece set.

Pool Party

Good morning, Just letting you know that my next order is going in Monday at 10am.

Below is just a pretty pool party card.  I used some scraps from my stampers seven class, actually the remnants of the label framelit, cut it to a kind of tailed bow and used my boho blossom punch to make the flowers. I had a bleached background behind that, used a piece for the celebrate and added some pool party ribbon, oh a few pearls too.  Like I said just a real pretty card.

Card Club starts up again March 14th

As promised yesterday here is one of the 5 cards we will be making at card club.  Again, using the open sea on Watercolour paper.... Love this set.

I still have one spot left for the Thursday night class and lots of room in the Wed. 10am.  If anyone is interested in just trying one class the 10 am would be a perfect class to attend. Just ask......Jo

RE: yesterday's post, so this is such a cool technique, I scored the lines in my paper and dragged my ink pads down them to create an uneven colour.  I used Sahara sand paper, then white stazon, or craft ink. Let dry!!! Then I actually dragged sahara sand ink, then a bit of the brown and blue from the Distressing Essentials Kit, page 203 in the big catalogue.  I also used the round sander to create the holes in the card.  The kit comes with lots of fun distressing stuff!!!

The Open Sea

I just can't seem to get enough of this stamp set. Card club in March will be using the set, not this card but maybe I will post the card we are doing tomorrow.  
I origonally saw a similar card on Cindy week's site, Kims very very talented downline and had to try it, now I know she was inspired by someone else's card, sorry don't know who?

Anyways, nothing wrong with casing!!!  We usually put our own little twist on things.I used crysal effects on the sails to really make them look 3d, you actually can't see it on this picture but I assure you it is there.  With this technique everyone is different.  The base card stock can change all the colours.  Whether you drag, gray, brown, blue, all helps to put your own personal touch into the card. Firstly Kim and I want to say THANK YOU to everyone for playing along with us over the past week.

At first Kim and I were feeling a tad guilty but it didn't take long for people to start guessing correctly. Quite a few of you got 4 of the seven correct. Only 1 person got 6 correct... And that was Julia Wood.  Julia is actually my sister but I promise, my cards were hidden from everyone!!!

Julia checks our blog almost every day, not many comments but still checks it out and I am told she just went with her first feeling. So congrats again Julia and I will drop off your prize this week.

Now for the referral gift....slim competition here...Margy wins with only 2 referrals, congratulations Margy. You can pick your prize next time I see you.

Now, I am asking one more little favor. I would love the girls in my card club to comment on thier favourite card and let me know if they would like to do it at card club. *  I just wanted to add that I actually bought a card magazine right before making the cards for this contest.  I did not intend for my cards to be more "Joanne" like...they were just the ones that I was drawn to!  And the new sale-a-bration DSP worked so well.  : )  Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful comments.  I will be using Joannes Day 1 card in my card club for sure! And Day 4 and  6 too.  Love them! Kim

Good Tuesday morning....

Good morning everyone!! Well what a fun week with the blog candy contest.  Kim and I will post everything tomorrow and the winner will be announced, again thanks so much and it was really nice to see so many comments and I hope you come back on a regular basis.

Did everyone have a good family day???  Mine was lovely, sisters over and Sunday night all the kids were home for dinner and we actually got Grant out to a movie. We saw "safe house" it was great, all 5 of us were at the movie theatre and I'm not sure if that has ever happened, Grant has been before but not with all of the kids at once.  

So last week at Stampers club I demo'd two cards, both background cards.... It was a lot of fun as always and I can't believe that my stampers 7 only has one more month.  I think I will try and run some individual teqniuque classes until september and then start up a new stampers 7 again.

Virginia has both cards we created in her hands....

My card club has finished and starting up again in March.... We meet the second Wednesday and Thursday of the month.

Cost is $22.00 and you usually make 5 cards, insides and envelopes too.  My classes always have wonderful ladies in it.

Right now I have lots of room in my Wednesday daytime class, 10am until 1ish. You just have to bring your sticky strip and adhesive. If anyone knows of someone that may be looking for something crafty to do during the day please pass my name on.
