Happy New Years EVE!

It's here, the last day of the year, HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?  The days just go so fast!!!

I have received a lot of boxes from Stampin' Up, so if you placed a clearance order I will be sorting them today, give me a call if you want it today.

MY LAST ORDER FOR THE HOLIDAY MINI WILL GO IN MONDAY AT 9am.

 
The carry over items are.. Glimmer paper, Bigz Holiday stocking and peek a boo dies. Stocking Accents Die, Cellophane mini bag, Spice Cake Fabric only, 1" square punch, dazzling Details,  Love blossoms Stampin' around wheel, shaker frames, snow burst impressions die, and Pewter emboss Powder.

So there you have it!!! Lots and lots leaving us. As most of you know the stocking punch and co-ordinating stamp set will be gone, so sad. My favourite buttons EVER, spice cake big buttons, love, love, love them.  I don't like to use things that are gone as a demonstrator, but I have to say I had to buy a few extra packs of those.

Good news....

Tucker is home and on the mend..... YAY!!! It is amazing how your dog is just well... part of the family and when your dog is sad... the entire family is down. Ah, I am so happy now, did I say YAY!!

A review of Christmas cards

Good morning, sorry Kim and I have been so absent on the blog but sometimes you just don't want to touch the computer.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and if off enjoying your time.

We have had a bit of worry over at the French house. Tucker enjoyed a Christmas gift Christmas day and he unfortunately tried or should I say did swallow a huge bone practically in tact.

Therefore we have had a very sad and sore dog, he has been at the dogie emergency and now has spent the night at the Vets, I am keeping optimistic that he won't need surgery.  After having an IV and many enemas we are waiting for a phone call to say everything has passed.... So saying that, wish us luck!!! We need it! 

I thought it might be nice to show a few of my beautiful Christmas cards that we received.....

Christmas decor...

As I get closer to the big day I feel like I am enjoying my Christmas decor.  When you really look at everything it is just so beautiful, warm and sparkly this time of year.  I put my tree up early, Nov. 26th and have really enjoyed it.  No matter what time of year it is, I think Christmas wins for decorations!! Here's a few of my decorations that make me smile.

Jake was so young when he could recite the entire toy story movie.  Woody will always be very special to us:)  Joanne

Last minute gift, tea cozy?

My sister in law Janice has made a couple more tea cozy's in case anyone is in need of a last minute gift. $24.00 each. Only one left, Lovely!  The fabric is Beau Chateau from Stampin' Up. Jo

Making cards out of scraps....

So at this time of year it is pretty easy to pull from scraps.  Here are a few cards I whipped up quickly. Ladies, don't hoard your designer paper! lol

I used so many packs of "Letters to Santa" this season.  I have a ton of scrap pieces to use up. I know next year there will be something I love just as much.

Hope everyone is getting close to being ready for the big day. Looks like Santa may have to use his helicopter?

Today I am going to bake, finally, and do something special with my mom and sister. Happy Thursday, Joanne

Good morning...

Sorry the blog has been ignored but I have been busy with appointments!!! I know a crazy time of year to be getting tests done but this just seems the time of year when all of that stuff happens.  I am going to do something about it next year, I hope.   My sister Jen reminded me that I said that last year. Oh well, always next year.

I am hoping to get the rest of my cards out today, terrible that I have left it this late, terrible, I did them in dribs and drabs this year, another reminder to not do that next year, LOL.

Last Friday I had a great day, lunch with Kim, an annual tradition, three or four years now, we are not sure.  Anyways, we have a great lunch, not rushed and then usually exchange a little something, usually hand made but Kim said she had to get me this gift because it reminded her of ME:)

I love it!!!  It is a travel mug but I have been using it in the house.  What drew Kim to it and I love is the saying,

"The joy in a house are the friends who frequent it."

Love that and it is so true. I wouldn't normally post a gift but I hope you don't mind Kim.

 Thanks so much Kim for being my friend, and what you wrote in your card, I will always remember that and I feel the same way:)

STOCKING BUILDER PUNCH December 20, 2011 Our occasion-specific mini catalogs allow us the opportunity to share the latest seasonal products with you and your customers, and we often carry over products from our mini catalogs into the following Idea Book & Catalog. This time, however, we have decided not to carry over the Stocking Builder Punch (item 124095) from the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog into the next Idea Book & Catalog. Instead we will offer other great designs in its place--not to mention a trendy, new design planned for next holiday season.   Once the current inventory of this punch has been depleted, it will no longer be available for purchase. We hope many Stampin' Up! stockings will adorn cards and brighten holiday projects this season and look forward to seeing what you create with the next seasonal design.

So sad but this is one of the reasons I love Stampin' Up, they want to be current.

Stocking die

So, anybody else making lists and checking them twice?  I am pretty much done shopping but now it is all the small details.  Cleaning, wrapping, grocery shopping....and still making cards for my family. : )

I am loving the big shot right now.  I am using it for tags, cards....so easy and so much fun.  As soon as I got this die the idea came to me to make a card with the giant stocking.  So cute!  It would also be great for scrapbooking pages!  Kim
