Back from Wasaga

I was at a hockey tournament for Jake over the past three days, lots of fun!!!

So I am having a lot of problems with my camera and I think it is time to visit Kim's husband at Photo Source!!! There is just so much I want to show you but can't, due to technical difficulties, LOL.

I wanted to thank everyone for the beautiful Christmas cards that were sent to me and my family. They were all soooo beautiful.  I managed to get a few on my camera and I hope it gets working so I can post them all! Jo

This card was made with white embossing powder, versa mark pen and dazzling diamonds, Love it!!!

Playing with Presents

It is hard to believe it is Monday already.  Christmas seems to go by so fast.  This morning, my kids are playing with their presents...I am off to work.  I am not complaining though, tomorrow is my anniversary and my husband is whisking me off for a special night!

I think this is one of my favourite cards ever.  I love the big shot for creating embossed backgrounds!  The card is made from Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper white card stock.  For the image, I stamped it on the whisper white and then coloured it in with markers and embossed the letters with iridescent ice.  I then stamped the image on Kiwi Kiss and cut the tree out and attached it to the image with dimensionals.  Kim

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays, I know I am!  So far we have had a wonderful Christmas Eve fish dinner at my Mother-in-laws (she always makes an incredible Italian feast), a relaxed "Jammy" day at my mom's on Christmas day (with Turkey and all the fixins) and today I have the rest of my family coming over for a lunch with ham, turkey and lots of goodies!  This is what the holidays are all about!

I can't say I have done a lot of stampin in the last few days but I did manage to sneak in a few gift card holders!  I love making these because they are small and easy but add so much to the gift.

Here are the 3 that I made yesterday, all of the letters are made glittery with iridescent ice (my favourite embossing powder).  Merry Christmas,  Kim

2 more days!

Yeah!  Only 2 more days till Christmas.  I am just like a kid when it comes to Christmas.  I picture the family sitting around the fireplace opening all of our gifts, and singing carols.  It rarely turns out that peaceful but hey, that is just part of the fun!  Kim

This card was made with Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Whisper White card stock.  The baja breeze is dry embossed using the Big Shot.  The Stamp set is Winter Post from the Holiday Mini (available till January 18th) and Winter Wishes is fom the Chit Chat rub-on set.

Oh Christmas Tree!

I don't know if you are like me but I have such a hard time giving away the cards that I make.  I start off with the best intentions, coming up with the perfect card for a friend, stamping, tweaking....then I love it so much that I just have to keep it and I start all over again. : )  Here is a card that I had no trouble giving away.  I made it for a great friend and she deserves the best.  That friend is Joanne!  I saw the idea for this Christmas tree on a few blogs and I thought it was great.  The tree is made from Kiwi Kiss, punched with the scallop circle punch and cut and pasted together.  I used the silver embossing powder and bold bright brads for the decorations.  The card is made with Real Red card stock and the designer paper is from the Hostess Patterns Pack.  Kim

Tiles

Good morning Ladies, just wanted to pass on an issue that one of my stampers 9 gals had. We made coasters this week and she purchased a sealer that destroyed her tiles. “Patricia Nimocks Clear Acrylic Sealer” So please do not use!

I have been using Krylon brand and it has been working beautifully.  I purchased it at Canadian Tire! 

So it was a Snow day yesterday and my daughter Laura and I were making tiles!  Here are just a couple. These tiles were made using black Stazon, the last tile I blended in some craft inks to look more aged.  I have not sprayed them yet so they are very mat.

I will be holding a Tile class in January!!! Jo

Merry Christmas

Well, the count down is on in my house!  9 more days till the Jolly Fat man arrives!  Keeping with the spirit, I decided to post this card from my Stampers 6 group this month.  I got the idea from a very talented lady who posted on splitcoast, sorry, I don't remember her name.  The card was made from Old Olive and was cut using the big shot.  I cut the same shape out of Whisper white and then cut off the top and bottom.  The greeting is from Many Merry Messages, the ribbon is Real Red and the snowflakes are the felt flurries.  I just love them!  Kim
