Halloween Treats

I am sitting here posting this while waiting for the kids to come to my door.  It is 7:10pm and I have only had one set of kids.  I am sure they will all show up at once  !  Since it is Halloween I thought I would show some of the treat bags that I made for my kids class.  Thanks to a fellow demonstrator for the bat idea.  I love using punches!  Kim

Refuge and Strength

I borrowed this set from a friend a few months ago, sorry for the holding delay. I used it once to make a card for a baptism.  I gave it back last night because she attended a stamp and stack so I busily stamped a few pieces of card stock.  Not only does this set have some lovely sayings and a cross, but I absolutely love the little leaf stamp.

In this card I used the kissing technique.  I stamped the cross in kiwi kiss and then I took the leaf and stamped in pacific blue and stamped directly onto the rubber of the cross.  I stamped once and used that and this card was made with a second stamping.  I then stamped a greeting and two more leaf designs.

If you haven't used the Stamp-a-am-jig before, next class ask how we use it. It is a simple tool that lets you space correctly.  If you are trying to position lettering or a flower in the middle of a circle, or even if you have only stamped 1/2 your object and you need to touch up, stamp-a-ma-jig makes it right!!!

Shaker Card

I have been meaning to make one of these cards for weeks.  It was actually to the point where I was dreaming about what my shaker card would look like.  I got the idea from a card that I saw a fellow stamper make and I just loved it. Finally today I was lucky enough to have my neighbor ask my 3 boys to come up to play so I had a spare moment to get creative.  Thanks Linda!    Mr. Twigster lends himself so well to this type of card that I couldn't resist using him but I have lots of other ideas floating around my head for different shaker cards.  Let me tell you, once you start you will be addicted to making this kind of card.  It is so much fun! As you may know "Bella" means beautiful in Italian and that is quite fitting for my new stamp set "Bella Blossoms".  What a beautiful giant flower.  Kim

Jakes 16th Birthday

We had a party last night for my son's 16th birthday, yikes, how did my baby get so manly!!! Anyways the card I made him was with the "Under the Stars" stamp set, I just couldn't resist, he has a raccoon fetish!! 

The balloon was taken from my "crazy for cupcakes" I stamped on watercolour paper and used my markers for the ink. I used the fine tip of the marker and continued the balloon string through my greeting so it looked like the bear and racoon were actually holding the string.  Hope you like it, he did.
