No internet/Birthdays

Good afternoon, wow, what did we do before internet???  Ours blew out Friday night and we just got it back, you feel so unconnected!!!

Anyways, It was some of my favourite people's birthdays this weekend, starting with my brother Fred on Thursday, Laura's boyfriend Ryan, Friday and Grants Saturday.

Downline meeting

Good morning, ah, I am so bummed, I forgot to take a picture at my downline meeting last night.  I even had my camera right where I was sitting and still forgot to take a picture of the group, RATS!!

Anyways, it was a lovely meeting, thanks so much to my direct downline for bringing thier downline.  It is always great to see the girls and to have that many demo's under my roof!!!

Stampers 7 club...

Good evening,just had a great Stampers 7 class, always great gals and it was lovely to meet Carol tonight.  Terry was our hostess and you can always bring a friend your hostess month so thanks Terry for bringing Carol.

Terry wanted to try out the new framelits which are AWESOME by the way, here is what made....

 

Ok, so stampers are always a great bunch.  When getting ready for Leadership I knew I was going to meet up with some long distance friends and what do Stampin' Up Demo's do??? Craft for each other. 

Here is what I brought my friends.... It is Stampin' Up's statement of the heart, love it.

I loved making these frames...so it got me thinking.  I want to start up another MIX IT UP CLUB...

I need a week to figure out some projects but I think this would be a great one to do.  Just have to change up the fabric since Spice cake, MY FAVE is discontinued. Instead of the statement of the heart people could print off a saying they love or simply stamp a verse, ah, now I'm thinking.... Anyways, when I know something I will let you know.

While at Leadership we were asked to bring cards made from stamp sets featured in the new mini. I brought 4 cards, and guess what, I WON!!!! in the category "BABY PRINTS"

There were so many cards, 100's so I feel honoured to have won.  We all clipped our cards to the closeline, front back, doubled, it was crazy.  I don't know who made the above but thought they were cute and I don't own the Mouthwatering set so wanted to bring some samples home for you guys.

Managers Reception

Thanks to you guys and my down line I was able to attend Managers reception.  Here we had lots of finger foods and Shirley Temples.  Again we met up with our friends and watched the show....

 

The show was pretty cool... These guys were small with muscles everywhere!!

 

One change that will be happening is a new Diagonal Score board to set on top of your Simply Scored and you can make envelopes super easy with it.  They gave some away but unfortunately I didn't win.  I can pre-order one in February and I will post how to use it.  It is another must tool for me and it just may be for you too.

 

EVENTS THIS WEEK.... Stampers 7 this Wednesday, Thursday, downline meeting.... and if you think you may want to join my team, you are welcome to attend as well, 7pm.  

Friday, I am having a epicure party??? I haven't ever been to one but have bought the goods. Looking forward to that.

HOME SWEET HOME

Ah, so glad to be home!!!  I had a fantastic time at the convention.  It was great to hear lots of news for Stampin' Ups future.  See so many beautiful swaps and well one of my favourite things was hanging out with other demo's.  

It was so great to see old friends, especially Genevieve, Heather and Nancy. New friends too, Linda and Pat.  

Getting our bags the first day...

I will post some news tomorrow, if you haven't been on other blogs to see but today I want to cook a great dinner and hang out with my family.

My Step Son is 13!

Hard to believe but last weekend my step son turned 13 years old. Wow...we became a family when he was 3....time sure flies! Next in line is my son, who also turns 13 this year. To make Lucas' card I went with the old tried and true sets - "extreme skateboarder " (retired now unfortunately) and extreme elements. I went with black and white for the card but with the 13 in red so that it would stand out. He loved it...so I am a happy mom. : ) Kim

HELLO FROM TEXAS

Hello everyone!!! Well the weather is fantastic here and it is great to be at Leadership. Texas is beautiful and today it is 80 degrees,sunny and warm. We didn't actually get to enjoy it until after 6:00, but that's ok. Hanging out with my leadership buddies is so much fun. Lynda,Nancy,Heather, Genevieve, Pat and the other Linda, is a treat!! As usual, Stamping' Up is treating us FINE!! Lots of news, freebies and info. I can't wait to share with you all. Here's a little tid bit, mark your calendars ladies, NEW CATALOGUE will be out in MAY???? Ok, well it is almost 11:30 and I need some sleep.
