New Colours...

Good morning, so it was just over a week ago I received the new in colours and thought, hm, how am I going to work with these primary colours???  I will admit I was a tad disappointed, especially because I more than LOVE the colours leaving us..... BUT.... I had to make a few cards yesterday and I can happily say that they are growing on me, growing fast!!! whew!  

I went all out on this card and used every In Colour!!!

This is a brand new stamp set also, already a fast favourite of mine and I am planning a class with it. I feel you can use it for every occasion.

 

 

On another note.... Went to see THE FULL MONTY last night at Theatre Aquarius, A MUST SEE !!!

Scraps

Good morning, I love to use scraps of fabric, paper and now light grade aluminum on my cards. Here is one that was whipped up quickly and then decided to make the L and used it for Lindsay's birthday card.  I wanted to show the garden stake girls that you could use the aluminum in different ways.

Thought I would show you some of my lovely Mother's Day flowers, first from Jake and Kara,

And from Garrett, he didn't know what he was buying but managed to pick out my favourite, Tulips:) I was spoiled.

Lindz bought me a beautiful magnolia tray and matching napkins and Laura and Ryan a charm for my pandora bracelet,  forget me knot.... I am very lucky and was way to spoiled!

Weekend recap

Good morning, I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day.  I as always was treated to an awesome breakfast made by my kids. Grant started breakfast in bed when Lindsay was probably 2 or 3? and the tradition has carried on, not in bed, thank goodness but each year I am a tad spoiled... check out the goods.

Lindsay, chopping hot peppers for the potatoes that were awesome!

We need two pans of potatoes there so yummy, girls at work!

Laura got up at 6:30am to make these delicious strawberry braids!!! They were fantastic. Laura didn't actually stay for breakfast, she went to Ryan's family's feast. She left two for us and took two to Ryan's home, I hope they enjoyed them as much as we did.  I never mind sharing the girls with their other families, it's just what you have to do.

I'll post some flower pics tomorrow and we also celebrated Lindsay's birthday Saturday.

When Lindsay was married she really, really wanted peonies for her flowers but you just can't get them in July... So I sent her a bouquet today, she just sent me a picture so I will share with you guys too, she loved them!!!

Mystery Night

Wednesday May 30th, 7:00 pm. to 9:30pm.

Everyone is invited to come and pick up a catalogue, stamp a card and enjoy a piece of cake. I believe this is my second or third year holding this exciting event. Well, exciting for us that just can't wait to get our hands on a catalogue.

Anyone showing up that night will get to take home a FREE catalogue as a thank you from me for attending.

Come see the new 'IN COLOUR' collection and I will have a little bit of NEW merchandise that I could pre-order for you to check out.

Please let me know if you want to attend by May 28th, just so I know how many cakes to bake:) 

You can wonder in at anytime between 7pm and 9pm, even if it is just to say hi.

So this is something new for me and I am very excited about it.  A couple of good friends have asked me to do this for a couple of years now and I am finally listening, or have time, LOL.

Here is how it works.

I will take stamps by the set or individually, punches as well to be sold at my home for you and you will be given a STAMPIN UP, credit note to be cashed in by me when you purchase merchandise from the new Catalogue.

****PRICING PACKAGING AND MARKING YOUR ITEMS 
Please follow these instructions carefully 
1) All items brought in for sale must be priced and marked 
before they are brought to me. 
When coming up with a 
price, please keep in mind that garage sales are about 
deals. One on-line guide suggests you set your price at 
approx 30%to 50% of retail. 
2) Every item must also have a number and your personal 
code (which will be your three initials) 
So for instance, if you have three items and your name is 
Sally Ann Smith, you will tag your 
items as follows: SAS #1 $2.00 SAS #2 $3.00 SAS #3 $5.00. 

3) Each person must also bring in a MASTER list of the items they 
have for sale. The list will itemize the 
code number, with the price and description of each lot, 
and should include your name and 
phone number. Sally’s list would look like this: 
Sally Ann Smith 905- 555-5555 
SAS #1 Small Circle Punch $2.00 
SAS #2 Bunny Rubber Stamp $3.00 etc.

All items must be to me by June 19th to be in the sale

My doors will open Saturday June 23rd at 10am, anything left over is to be picked up by the owner within a couple of weeks and that is when you will receive your gift certificate.

Masculine cards

Good morning, today at card club we are doing a masculine scrap card. I named it this just because you basically take from your scrap box to make a card. This is how I designed this card.... I know some people will be a bit uneasy with it but hey, it's card club, LOL.

 

I also want to Welcome Margo to my team of demonstrators.... Margo makes me laugh and smile, what a wonderful quality, oh ya, she is very multi talented, a wonderful addition to crew!!! Thanks Margo.
